Bertani is a special Amarone winery.
The Amarone are aged in oak barrels for an average of 8 years. Very rare in Italy.
These extra long aging in the oak barrels end up making the wine well matured, complex, and have a unique taste profile that is hardly found in other Amarone.
"2012 Vintage was dry and cool, thereby allowing the grapes to ripen slowly while preserving their natural freshness, and also create the quality for wines that can age for decades. This vintage will continue to get more complex as the years go by, through the new aged flavors showing up."
Bertani has been making wines since 1857.
The winery was founded by brothers Gaetano and Giovan Battista Bertani.
