The bottle’s artwork depicts the whimsical origin story of Cabernet Sauvignon; born in the French Pyrenees from a natural crossing of Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc, before finding its pinnacle, high-altitude expression in the Andean foothills of Mendoza.
Conceived by fourth-generation vintner Dr. Laura Catena alongside historian Adrianna Catena, this bottling showcases how high-elevation terroir imparts exceptional cold-climate structure and elegance to the variety.
To achieve balance between vibrant fruit expression and nuanced oak complexity, the wine undergoes 18 to 24 months of aging in French oak barrels, utilizing a thoughtful combination of first, second, and third-use wood.
