Fonteny is a Premier Cru Vineyard in the village of Gevrey-Chambertin.

The Domaine Henri Rebourseau is an iconic Burgundy vineyard founded in 1782. Now directed by the sixth generation, Bénigne and Louis de Surrel.

Fonteny is a Premier Cru climat directly adjacent to Grand Cru Ruchottes-Chambertin on the mid-slope of the Côte de Nuits.

This site is prized for its shallow limestone-rich soils with iron content, giving wines of tension, minerality, and fine structure.

It combines power and elegance, with aromatic lift and aging potential that often exceeds other premiers crus in Gevrey.

Vines in Fonteny average 40+ years old and are farmed organically with low yields.

The winemaking includes long macerations, and maturation in oak (30–40% new) for added depth.
