Building upon generations of collective viticulture at Domaine Leflaive, Olivier Leflaive established his boutique maison in 1984. This bottling is a prestigious Récolte du Domaine, crafted exclusively from Olivier’s estate-owned vines.
Widely regarded as the absolute pinnacle of Puligny-Montrachet Premier Crus, "Les Pucelles" sits on the same revered hillside, immediately adjacent to Grand Cru royalty Bâtard-Montrachet and Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet.
Sharing an identical altitude and limestone-rich clay soil structure, this site consistently rivals Grand Cru quality. It displays a signature highly aromatic profile of delicate white flowers, achieving a sublime balance between luxurious texture and intense, saline minerality.
Local Burgundian folklore recounts that the Lord of Puligny-Montrachet divided his estate among his heirs: his eldest son received Chevalier, his illegitimate son received Bâtard, and his daughters received Les Pucelles ("The Maidens").
