Ratings: 4.2 on VIVINO

Nicolas Rossignol represents the fifth generation of winemakers in Volnay, having begun vinifying at the Rossignol-Jeanniard estate in 1994 at just 20 years old.

Deeply dedicated to biodynamic viticulture, Nicolas relies exclusively on indigenous native yeasts and zero chemical fertilizers, carefully aligning vineyard tasks and barrel aging with lunar cycles.

"Clos des Mouches" is globally recognized as one of the elite crown jewels of the Beaune appellation. Nicolas holds a microscopic allocation within this legendary site.

Drawing from the highly drained clay-and-limestone soils of this sun-drenched plot, he teases out intense concentration, silky tannins, and a robust backbone of dark primary fruit.

Beaune stands as the historic capital of Burgundy's wine world, dating back to Roman times with its reputation cemented during the Middle Ages under the Dukes of Burgundy.

While the village contains no Grand Crus, it boasts 42 distinct Premier Cru climats across 317 hectares, the largest concentration of Premier Cru land in the Côte d'Or, celebrated for offering exceptional terroir and remarkable depth.
