Napanook is made from the vineyard of the same name called Napanook Vineyard, which is the historic Dominus Estate vineyard.
Napanook is the second wine of Dominus Estate. This is similar to how second wines are produced by the top Chateaux of Bordeaux.
Therefore the grapes that are used for making Napanook are selected from certain blocks from the Napanook vineyard.
The wine eventually is one that has lively fruit, soft tannins, intense black fruit flavors of blackcurrants and vanilly, with supple tannins and long finishing.
Aged for 16 months in French Oak Barrels.
