E Guigal is a high end premium winery of the Rhone Valley making the finest Shiraz wines in the villages of Cote-Rotie and Hermitage. They also make a wonderful Chateauneuf-du-Pape.
The winery was founded in 1946 by Etienne Guigal and has grown on to become a legendary winery today.
Hermitage is named after a 13th Century hermit who sought redemption by devoting himself to prayer and the cultivation of vines.
The style of wine is powerful, rich, complex and long lived.
