Crafted exclusively from 100% Tempranillo grapes grown on limestone-sandy clay soils in Rioja, this wine reflects regional freshness, fruitiness, and finesse.
Often described as the "second wine" to the MACAN, similar to how it is Bordeaux, Macán Clásico is intentionally crafted to be more approachable upon release, offering elegance and harmony without sacrificing character.
This wine is a prestige partnership between Vega Sicilia—one of Spain’s most revered wineries—and the Benjamin de Rothschild family—renowned Bordeaux winemakers.
This collaboration began with vineyard acquisitions in Rioja from 2004, leading to the first vintage in 2009.
