This is the 2nd wine of Chateau Malartic Lagraviere.
2nd wines in Bordeaux means that the wines come from a dedicated vineyard that usually has younger vines, and this results in a unique wine that is more approachable and can be drunk younger vintages.
Aged in barrels for about 15 months.
Michel Rolland one of the most prolific of winemakers is the consultant to the family.
With the 2020 vintage, the name is changed from La Reserve de Malartic, to be called Le Comte de Malartic
So the current 2018 vintage is still using the old label which is called La Reserve de Malartic.
It is a family owned Chateau. Owned by the Bonnie Family.
This Chateau is one of those highly recognized by the Bordeaux wine drinking community, especially those are expert in Bordeaux wines and appreciate the high quality wines of Pessac-Leognan.
