This wine is made by Bodegas Riojanas, which was founded in 1890. So therefore more than 100 years of winemaking history.
The 5th generation of the family is managing the winemaking now.
This wine is made in the classic Rioja style, with long maceration and aged about 30 months in American Oak Barrels.
It is very complex, yet on the palate almost velvety smooth, delicious ripe juicy red and black fruit flavors.
Modern style Rioja wineries tend to use the French Oak Barrels more commonly and are fruitier.
