This is an unfiltered Shiraz. One of Barossa Valley Iconic top premium Shiraz that is full-bodied, rich, complex and long lingering finish.
Matured for 16 months in 100% new oak hogshead barrels (95% French and 5% American) and matured on lees to maintain fruit profile and animation.
Bottled unfiltered to ensure minimal intervention with the wine’s natural characteristics.
The eye on front of the label is the all-seeing eye of Horus or wedjat ("whole one") - a powerful Egyptian symbol of protection.
The Eye represented as a figure with six parts, corresponding to what Egyptians regarded as the six senses; touch, taste, hearing, sight, smell and thought.
This logo is used as part of the label to showcase that this wine was made with great amount of expertise and effort to make it rich and complex, so that it can excite all our six senses.
The winery founder, Colin Glaetzer, has been recognized as a top class winemaker and his son, Ben Glaetzer has shown tremendous skills at wine making and has made the winery one of the iconic winery in Barossa Valley, and all of Australia.
