Sassicaia is historically the first Super Tuscan to be released in the market. It was the the 1968 vintage that was the first vintage released as a Super Tuscan.
Aged in American Oak Barrels for 20 to 25 months.
Since 1994, Sassicaia wine has been granted its own DOC status called the Sassicaia Bolgheri DOC.
Sassicaia is a favorite of all wine collectors all over the world.
This is a left bank Bordeaux style with majority Cabernet Sauvignon grape.
