Grape: Merlot (50%), Sangiovese (50%) approximately as proportions vary vintage to vintage.
This wine is made by the Frescobaldis, an important Florentine family that are established and making wines for over 1000 years.
A blend of Merlot and Sangiovese can be said to be the perfect union of two important people.
Merlot provides for the richness of black fruit flavors, velvety smoothness and juicy tasting wine. Sangiovese provides the freshness and liveliness.
Luce della Vite is already a renowned Super Tuscan today. It comes from the Montalcino area where the Brunello di Montalcino are made.
Aged for 24 months in Oak Barrels.
