Rueda region in Spain is one of two most important refreshing white wine regions of Spain, the other being Rias Baixas. The grape used for this region is Verdejo.
This grape has made Rueda region famous world wide for its high quality and also the ability to be made either into a delicious refreshing white wine like a Sauvignon Blanc or a complex and rich white wine, similar to Chardonnay,
So Verdejo is kind of like in between a Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay character, which is what makes it even more exciting and so interesting to enjoy.
