Ratings: 4.2 on VIVINO

Château Haut-Batailley 2015 represents an exciting chapter in the storied history of this renowned Fifth Growth estate from the 1855 Classification.

This vintage not only showcases the elegance and power synonymous with Pauillac but also serves as one of the last produced before the château was acquired by the esteemed Cazes family in 2017.

The Cazes family are the owners of the great esteemed Chateau Lynch Bages. So now this Chateau has become part of the great Chateaux owned by the Cazes family.

The label also has been slightly modified after the 2015 vintage. So this label is rare and unique now.

A captivating bouquet of blackcurrant, blackberry, and plum, interwoven with classic Pauillac notes of cedar, graphite, and a hint of vanilla from oak aging. Medium to full-bodied with velvety tannins and a vibrant core of ripe dark fruit. Flavors of cassis, black cherry, and mocha are balanced by a mineral backbone and refreshing acidity. The finish is long and sophisticated, with lingering notes of spice and earthiness.

Pair with Roast lamb with herbs like rosemary or thyme, Grilled ribeye steak with a peppercorn sauce and aged cheeses such as Gruyère or Mimolette.
