Château Potensac is a historic estate in the northern Médoc, long admired for its classic Bordeaux style. The estate has been under the ownership of the Delon family, who also own the esteemed Château Léoville-Las Cases in Saint-Julien and Château Nénin in Pomerol.

What is unique about Chateau Potensac is that, despite being a left bank Chateau, it benefits from a rare terroir that includes clay-limestone soils often associated with the Right Bank. This unique combination enables a higher proportion of Merlot in its blend, lending the wines an approachable yet structured character.

The estate also features vines averaging 40 years in age, ensuring depth and complexity in every vintage.

This 2015 vintage has refined bouquet of blackberry, cedar, and earthy notes, followed by a powerful palate with dense tannins and a lingering smoky finish. The wine’s structure and vibrant acidity indicate its remarkable aging potential, capable of maturing gracefully for several decades.
